Welcome to Hemel Hempstead Cycling Club
Ride with the Hemel
Join us on a Sunday morning for a club ride. Multiple groups go out covering a fairly easy 30 miles (A group) through to 65 miles fast (D group). We usually meet at 8:45 at Hemel Railway Station and head off at 9 am. Rides are friendly, inclusive and usually include a cafe stop.

Race with the Hemel
Club members regularly race in the Central region and beyond. We take part in road races, time trials, cyclo-cross and triathlons.
The club promotes open events throughout the season from the Roy Thame / Spring Chicken spring road races through to the Hemel Cyclo X in October. Along the way we have three open time trials and the Bovingdon Bomber circuit race series.
We also put on a series of club time trials Thursday evenings from April to August. All are welcome to come and have a go.
Great wins for Ben Stowe, Arctic Tacx RT, and Anna Henderson, Cycle Team Onform
Excellent wins for Daniel Butlin, EvoVelo Karbona, in the morning and Rupert Graham, Spirit Tifosi Racing Team, in the afternoon.
The 2018 edition of our reliability ride will be a week later than usual this year, on 11th February. For more information take a look at our main Chiltern Classics page: http://www.hemelcycling.org.uk/events/chiltern-classics
The club was formed in 1933 by group of 20 keen Hemel cyclists. It is now more than 200 members strong and is active in all branches of the sport, including road cycling, track cycling, mountain biking and cyclo-cross as well as triathlon and duathlon. We have members of all ages from 6 to 96 and cater for everybody from youth to veterans.
Most of our members come from the areas around Hemel Hempstead, Watford, Berkhamsted and Tring, with a few from further afield.
The club promotes a varied programme of activities ranging from regular club rides and training sessions through to open competitions. We have proudly achieved Clubmark status and aim to promote friendly events for all to enjoy. Get in touch or come along to one of our regular sessions and join in.
