Welcome to Hemel Hempstead Cycling Club
Ride with the Hemel
Join us on a Sunday morning for a club ride through stunning local countryside. Multiple groups go out covering a fairly easy 30 miles through to a fast 65 miles for the more experienced riders. We usually meet at 8:45 at Hemel Hempstead Railway Station and head off at 9 am. Rides are friendly, inclusive and usually include a cafe stop where we refuel on coffee and cake.
Find out more about our club rides here.
Do you fancy riding further afield? We have trips to places like the Isle of Wight, the Cotswolds, France. Members also organise trips to experience the one day classic races in Belgium and France such as the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix.
Come and find out more about what we can offer you whether you're a beginner or a more experienced rider.
Race with the Hemel
Club members regularly race in the Central region and beyond. We take part in road races, time trials, cyclo-cross and triathlons.
The club promotes open events throughout the season from the Roy Thame / Spring Chicken spring road races through to the Hemel Cyclo X in October. Along the way we have three open time trials and the Bovingdon Bomber circuit race series.
We also put on a series of club time trials Thursday evenings from April to August. All are welcome to come and have a go.
The new intermediate route is now available to view and download the GPS file at Ride With GPS: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/29209243

We're a friendly, long established club with a rich history based on the edge of the stunning Chiltern Hills and the surrounding countryside so we have amazing riding on our doorstep.
We're over 200 members strong and we're active in all branches of the sport, including road cycling, track cycling, mountain biking and cyclo-cross as well as triathlon and duathlon. We have members of all ages from 6 to 96 and cater for everybody from youth to veterans.
Most of our members come from the areas around Hemel Hempstead, Watford, Berkhamsted and Tring, with a few from further afield.
The club promotes a varied programme of activities ranging from regular club rides and training sessions through to open competitions. We have proudly achieved Clubmark status and aim to promote friendly events for all to enjoy. Get in touch or come along to one of our regular sessions and join in.
