Youth (U16) - Monthly Ashridge MTB Ride (1st Sat)
Ashridge Youth Trail Ride - 1st Saturday every month
On the first Saturday of every month we run an off-road MTB ride for the youth members. This is normally held in Ashridge and is lead by qualified British Cycling Coaches.
The ride is graded into ability groups and follows the local tracks and bridleways.
It is aimed principally at 8-14 year olds who have completed go-ride skills courses or are already competent MTB riders. Anyone interested in coming along or helping out occasionally then get in touch with Rob or Roger.
Non-members are welcome to come and try a ride before joining the club. We do ask that you join the club after your first 'taster' ride to ensure everyone is insured. Please see further details on the join the club page.
What bike do I need?
Any well maintained mountain bike, hybrid or cyclo-cross bike should be fine. The routes used are on woodland trails and bridleways so off-road tyres are needed.
Please make sure you bring a drink and snack, a bike in good working order, helmet and gloves.

Where do we meet?
We meet in Ashridge on the road up to the vistor center. The starting point is the first car park on the left as you follow the drive up to the monument. The postcode if you haven't been before is HP4 1LX.
For all of our rides please arrive at 9:45am to sign you in, and we depart at 10am sharp unless otherwise stated. We'll be back at the car park at 12 noon ready for pick up.
Parents are more than welcome to join us on the rides if they want join in.
When do we ride?
We usually ride on the first Saturday of the month but occasionally we move a week if there are clashes. Sign up to the Youth Coaching newsletter for the latest dates. The rides will be Ashridge based ride unless stated.
How do I sign up?
It makes it much simpler on the day if we know who is riding. We use the RiderHQ system to pre-register and manage bookings. You can sign up for the next session here.
