A group of 11 Hemel Hempstead club members took the red funnel ferry from Southampton over to the Isle of Wight for this year's White Wizz and a fantastic day's riding.
Once again we got lucky with the weather and although it was a tad chilly at the start of the ride, it soon warmed to a comfortable temperature.
The marked route took us on a circular around the island and the terrain is undulating with two significant climbs.
Starting in Cowes, it doesn't take long for the ride to head off into quiet country lanes.
The ride tends to be at a more leisurely pace and the group tries to stay together.
We stopped three times, twice for tea/coffee and cake, and once for an ice cream at the top of a climb called Blackgang Chine. This is also a great spot to take photos and you can see some of these on our Facebook site.
The last few miles of the ride are reasonably flat and fast and we made quick progress back to Cowes where we had fish and chips whilst waiting for the ferry back to Southampton and the drive home.
