Annual General Meeting, Monday 13th November at 7:30pm
It would be great to see all of our members at the forthcoming AGM to actively participate in the governance of the club. All members should have received the formal notification of the AGM along with the agenda and the reports from our current serving officers.
We are a very successful club and I cannot think of another club in the area that promotes as many events and runs as many activities as we do. The membership can be proud of what we achieve each year but there is always room for improvement.
We want to improve the communications within the club so that members are aware of what is going on and can participate in a broader range of activities. We also want more members to contribute their ideas and their time to help the club provide the activities that the membership want to take part in. To that end, this year the Committee is proposing changes to the committee structure to help make it easier to get things done and to encourage more members to get involved through sub-committees without needing to become elected committee members. This will allow people to offer their time, knowledge and skills on a more limited basis and help with specific activities or events without having to commit to serving for a full term on the committee. By doing this we hope to improve communications with the membership and strengthen other areas such as the Sunday social rides and the coordination and awareness of all of our activities (social, road, TT, multisport, track, off-road).
So please come along and participate in making our club even better.
